The Colab Concept team is a dynamic team made up of a combination of young professionals and members with 40+ years of experience in the architectural field. This provides clients with project solutions that are fresh and dynamic, but also with the knowledge and peace of mind that those solutions are backed up with practical experience.
We are particularly interested in collaboration across creative disciplines to come up with original solutions. However we strive to use timeless design principals to achieve this goal. In this regard, structures that are sensitive to our environment and respond well to its immediate context is of utmost importance to us.

Trevor Adams has over 40+ years of experience in the architectural field. From 1973 Trevor worked in John Boyd and Ass. Architect’s office. He graduated from the University of Cape Town in 1980. After working as resident architect in the planning unit of the University of Western Cape, Trevor established an independent architectural practice in the Western Cape in 1985 called A. Arch CC.
Some noteworthy projects he has completed are GrandWest Casino & Entertainment World, D.I.S.Daylight Studio in Bree Street, and working for Pepcor - Shoprite Commercial Centres, Design & supervision of various projects.
In 2004 he established a company called Frame + Adams architects and through this company has completed various large projects for the Department of Public Works, Cape Town Peninsula University of technology and Grand Parade Investments.
In 2013 he established Colab Concepts with Kirsty Ronne and together they continue to create and collaborate in dynamic and interesting projects.
Kirsty Ronne
Kirsty Ronné_ Director Colab Concepts (Pty) Ltd
Academic qualifications: Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS), UCT;
Bachelor of Architecture (BArch), UCT.
Kirsty Ronné matriculated from John Wycliffe Christian School in 1999. She studied Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS), at the University of Cape Town from 2000-2002 and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch), at UCT in 2005.
She worked in MMA Architects office for 3 years. During that time she designed and lead the 10x10 house project for Design Indaba that the Curry Stone Design award. She joined Frame + Adams Architects in 2009.
Kirsty, together with Trevor Adams at Frame + Adams architects, worked as the year architects for Public Works (PGWC: General Buildings) for 2 years and completed a number of office developments including Alexandra Office precinct.
In 2013 she established Colab Concepts with Trevor Adams and together they form part of an experienced and dynamic team of professionals.
Kirsty has a keen interest in designing buildings that are sensitive to the environment and respond well to its immediate context.
